this is me standing straight up. the snow is up to my waist.

needless to say, we aren't going anywhere soon. it is amazing how the denver area is shutting down. i hope everyone can get somewhere safe. i just talked to my grandma and she said the town of parker is "closed."

plows came, more snow coming

Today, exactly one week after the big snow, the plows finally made it all the way to Jillian's uncle's house where we are house sitting. But wait... we are expecting over two more feet of snow by this time tomorrow. It is already a blizzard here. Nice.

fj flick

Here is a short clip of yesterday's adventure's. Yes in the video I say the Cruiser will rest there until the snow melts, but no, I shovelled a bit in front of it and it kept going. By the way, Jillian made it from Breck yesterday and we are now together again!

adventures w/ the fj cruiser

I tried to get Robert's FJ Cruiser out of the 1/2 mile long driveway today. The thing is amazing. The snow it pushed in front of it was up to its hood! Although I needed to dig down the snow in front of it once, it would have made it all the way... that is until it came upon the plow guy's stuck truck in the middle of the driveway.

28"

Well, it is still snowing. I am still stranded at Jillian's uncle's house without Jillian. She got 5" in Breckenridge in the last 24 hrs, and here at her uncle's house it snowed 28" in the last 24 hrs. It is about 3" above the German Shepherd's back (she still manages to find rocks and bring them into the garage to drop on my feet). I throw them out into the snow and she disappears into the the white trying to find them. Well, I am going to see if a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser can drive in 28" of snow. Wish me luck.

Here is the BBQ on the porch.

Here is the trampoline.

bad dogs... bad snow... where's jillian?

Here are images of the dogs at the house we are house sitting for three weeks.

The one eyed dog: follows you around all day, lost her eye in a fight with a wolf.

The crazy German: here carrying a small tree... she likes to find dead trees still in the ground and trys to rip them up...

...here carrying a small boulder?

The terrible two: over the past week these two have so far shredded five boxes of books (including the books), shredded and ate a crate of CANS of dog food, shredded a box of dog grooming supplies and soap, and are still going at it.

The storm of the winter has begun. The dogs just sit there and let the snow pile on. The crazy German once had at least an inch of snow on her back as he just laid there almost unseen in white stuff.

Well, we are supposed to get multiple feet of snow in the next day, I am stranded at the house of bad dogs, and Jillian is stuck in Summit, miles away. Hopefully we will see each other again soon!
